Simon Johnson

Reporting to the Chair of the Board, Simon is responsible for leading, coaching and developing the FBA’s senior management team
Over the last 20+ years, Simon has held senior leadership positions at three environmental NGOs with focus on freshwater ecology and sustainable management of catchments. He is also a director of a community interest company, the Norfolk Ponds Partnership and Chair (Elect) of the European Federation of Freshwater Sciences.
Simon ensures ongoing operational excellence and quality across FBA’s finance and administration, fundraising, communications, governance and systems.
Simon is also responsible for refining the charity’s growth strategy, expanding revenue generation and fundraising activities, and developing new and strengthening existing relationships and partnerships. Additional responsibilities include deepening and refining all FBA’s communications, from web presence to external relations, with the goal of creating a stronger brand.
